Get excited for the Citrus Bowl!
One of the most prestigious bowl games in the college football postseason, the Citrus Bowl has been played since 1947. The game has always been hosted in Orlando, Florida, and until 1982 it was known as the Tangerine Bowl. After spells as the Florida Citrus Bowl and the Capital One Bowl, the event has been named the Citrus Bowl since 2015.
The game has current tie-ins with the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference (SEC), and receives the first pick from these conferences after the College Football Playoff teams have been chosen.
In 2024, the Illinois Fighting Illini defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks to secure the Citrus Bowl title.
