The Hero World Challenge is a professional men's golf event and part of the PGA Tour calendar, although it is not an official money event. It was established in 2000 and is hosted by Tiger Woods, with the tournament proceeds benefiting the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Woods is the competition's most successful player with 5 titles to his name, an achievement made even more impressive considering the event is held with an incredibly exclusive field of just 18-20 of the world's top-ranked golfers – only the best are on show in this elite tournament, and there's no shortage of thrills as a result.
Scottie Scheffler, after finishing as runner-up to Viktor Hovland in both the 2021 and 2022 editions of this event, has picked up back-to-back wins here in 2023 and 2024. In the latter he secured a commanding 6-shot victory ahead of closest rival Tom Kim, capping off a sensational year with a record-equalling 9th title win that also included the Masters and an Olympic gold medal.
